A face does not fall evenly
Beneath the fat, a set of fibrous ligaments anchors the skin to the bone. They are what holds the face in place — and they are what gives way first.
When they loosen, the tissue above them slides. What you see in the mirror reads as a hollow cheek, a heavy fold, a jawline losing its edge — but the hollow is a symptom, not the problem. Filling it directly adds weight to tissue that is already descending.
Ligament filler works at the anchor instead. Firm product placed deep, on bone, at the points where those ligaments attach — restoring the support, so the tissue above lifts with it. The volume is a consequence of the lift, not the point of it.
This is why the design takes longer than the injection. Dr. Yang reads the direction your face is descending, marks the two or three anchors actually carrying that descent, and leaves the rest alone.

Neck lines, in detail
Three kinds of neck line, one wrong answer
Filling every neck line the same way is the most common mistake in this area. Two of the three below get worse when filled.

Horizontal creases
Often congenital — a tethering present since childhood, deepened by how you hold your phone. Released and supported, not packed with product.

Vertical bands
The platysma contracting as skin elasticity drops. This is a muscle problem — filling between the bands makes them stand out more, not less.

Fine crosshatching
Thin skin showing many shallow lines at once. Treated at the level of skin quality and texture — a case for energy or boosters before anything is injected under it.
Most necks are a mixture. The consultation decides the proportions — which is the whole reason this is not sold as a single item.

Four things we do not compromise on

Cannula over needle
Wherever the anatomy allows. A blunt tip pushes vessels aside instead of entering them, which is the single largest safety difference in facial filler.

Reversible product
Hyaluronic acid, with hyaluronidase kept in the room. If a result is not right, it can be dissolved the same week rather than lived with.

Less, then review
The first session is deliberately conservative. Adding at two weeks is easy; removing an overfilled face costs months.

Written record
Brand, lot number, volume and depth for every point, given to you on the day — so any doctor anywhere can read what was done.
Will I look like I have had filler?+
Not if the product goes deep and stays off the surface. What reads as "filler face" is volume placed shallow in the cheek — this technique works at the anchor points, where the effect is a lift rather than fullness.
How long does it last?+
Firm product placed deep on bone lasts considerably longer than the same product placed superficially — the area moves less. Duration varies with the product used, the area and your own metabolism; Dr. Yang gives you a realistic figure for your plan at the consultation.
I already have filler from somewhere else.+
Bring whatever record you have. If old product sits in the plane this technique needs, it is dissolved first and rebuilt a few weeks later — and the rebuild is almost always smaller than what was there before.
Filler or a lifting device?+
Different problems. Filler restores structure that is missing; energy tightens tissue that has loosened. Many faces need both, in that order. See lifting and tightening →
Can I go out the same evening?+
Most patients do. Expect some swelling for one to three days and the possibility of a small bruise at an entry point. If you are timing this around an event, tell us the date and we will plan backwards from it.
